Trileptal

It was time to up my meds yesterday. I’m now up to 600mg a day. I take 300mg 7am/pm… I had one blood draw two weeks ago and my blood work came back fine. There was no sodium depletion, which is what they were looking for. That night is when I had upped the meds from 300mg a day to 450mg. They are titrating me slow. The only side effects I have noticed so far is a bit of a headache and or nausea after taking meds the first couple of days after upping the dose.

I’m starting to feel slightly better. I can tell especially because I’m not yelling and freaking out as much, and I’m starting to “feel” again. I have major remorse over the amount of money I spent last month, as I stare at the credit card bill *sigh* But I’m trying hard not to be pushed down into depression over things I did when I was hypomanic. I’ve felt a little weepy, but I started my period, so that is to be expected. I’ve been getting a lot done around the house. Hoping to take one step at a time and not go to overboard or go the opposite and get too overwhelmed.

Just trying to find a balance, not there yet, but working on it..

I also really need to get back into counseling, haven’t been since before the holidays..

I will be praying for you Veronica. You are in my thoughts, and I will be praying that you will get through this with strength from within yourself, your family and friends, but especially God as he will provide you with all that you will need to get through this!

I’m so glad to hear that things are going better. Baby steps are better than no steps at all. You will get there my dear!

Hey love, thinking of you! I was on anti-depressents(is that the same as meds?) for a few months last year, it helped but I think some issues in life take a lifetime to workout. Man didnt mean to sound pessimistic!! xxxx
