A little lettuce goes a long way.
I made myself the ultimate salad for lunch. Iceberg, romaine, carrots, shredded cheddar cheese (say that 10 times fast), cucumber, grilled chicken, croutons, and this salad topper stuff that is amazing. Plus light ranch, got to keep those calories down. Wink, wink. Nod, nod.
Now I had just bought the greens so I had to prep it first. I threw the hard ends of the lettuce into the trash, but the rest just went down the disposal.
Or so I thought.
It completely clogged. Brian had to take the pipes under the sink apart to get the lettuce out. Water and lettuce bits were everywhere.
It wouldn’t have been all that bad during normal circumstances. But when is our family ever normal?
I had a million dishes to do because I had baked a triple layer, checkerboard cake. The kids were melting down because they were hungry for dinner. Alex ended up wailing with a mysterious cut above his eye.
All of this with 30 minutes to go before cell group showed up at our door. By the end of that half hour all I wanted was a long hot shower and a good cry.
We prevailed.
Who knew a little bit of lettuce could do so much damage.
That’s what I get for trying to be healthy!

Oh my! That sounds like a rough moment, but I’m glad you guys made it through. Did you at least get that shower?
Lettuce..Checkerboard cake……cake…..cake,,,,,CAKE!!!
DEFINITELY blame the lettuce. It’s just fishy. Stick to fried foods from here on out!
Everything dynamic and very positively!
Have a nice day

I never would have thought that lettuce could have caused so much damage. Glad you got through the stressful evening.
