The Great Outdoors
This weekend was long, exhausting and tons of fun! We spent a good deal of it outside with soccer games, cell leader appreciation day at Marmon Valley Farm, pumpkin picking at Kuhlwein’s Farm, and a pumpkin carving party at my good friend Kelly’s parents house.

Brianna’s last soccer game! Trophies and an “Undefeated Season” award!

Alex and I in the play barn at Marmon Valley.

Brianna and Brian and their horses. A first time for riding for both of them. Brianna scared one time, Brian three! Katie was a mess, you had to be 6 to ride and she pouted pretty much the whole time they were gone. It broke my heart to see her sad because she was left out.

Brian threatened to wear shin guards to the pumpkin patch at Kuhlwein’s, I was highly embarrassed. Thankfully he took them off when he got there! Oh and go Phillies, going to the World Series for the second year in a row!!!!

On the hayride! Father and son, I love these two so much!

Starting the corn maze, this was a lot of fun, though it didn’t take us too long to find the way out!

Me and my precious girls! I need to get this pic printed and framed, I love it, and them

Katie’s turn on a horse! She got to do the pony ride all by herself since she couldn’t ride the horses at Marmon Valley. Thrilled she had a chance to do it!

The kids in the bounce house. When they came out, Alex pitched the biggest fit. He was kicking and screaming and I could barely hold him in his stroller to get his shoes on! He wanted back into the bouncy and now!

Kates picking a pumpkin! We couldn’t pick them out in the field because it was too muddy.

Alex loved rolling them, picking them up, dropping them. Pitched another royal fit when it was time to be put back into the stroller to head back to the van. He’s been getting ornery this last week, definitely wanting independence!

Coach Tressel at the pumpkin carving party! Okay, not really, Kelly’s Dad just happens to look a lot like him! He played a lot with Alex, it was really cute seeing them interact

Pumpkin carving time! I have a really great picture of Kelly making this crazy ugly face, but I’m being good and not posting it. Though it won’t stop me from blowing it up to mini poster size and giving it to her for Christmas haha!

All the kids in front of their pumpkins. Kelly’s Dad gave out awards for each one. Brianna’s was most geometric nose! Katie’s most teeth and therefore most likely to become a dentist!

What a great day. Love all the pics. your daughter must be a great soccer player, undefeated, great. Looks like a fun family filled day. I love those days.
Here’s the receipe for the cookies.
Hi Veronica…
these are shamefully simple…You need a mini muffin pan, my has 24 spots. Make the regular peanut butter cookie receipe, I use Betty Crocker, if you need that receipe let me know and I will send that to you.
I make little balls to about fill the mini muffin tin, then plop that in, bake like normal. While they are baking, I unwrap (and eat) the mini recees BP cup candy bars. When the cookies are done, I cook them the same amount of time as a regular PB cookie, then take the muffin tin out of the oven. Wait about 2-3 minutes, then push a PB cup into the middle of hte muffin tin, then let cool about 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and set on a cooling rack.
Hope this helps. I sure have enjoyed your blog. Have a great night!
That looks like so much fun!!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I love your blog and will be following!

HI.. I wanted to make sure and send you the cake ball recipe… so so easy.. perfect for children!
take a cake mix-make just like instructions on book
crumble in a big bowl
mix with one tub frosting
mix all together and roll in to balls-melon baller works best, but i use an ice cream scooper.
Put them in the fridge for about an hour
melt almond bark
coat the balls with almond bark
**use can use what ever cake/ frosting you want! I like funfetti cake & rainbow chip icing with white almond bark… Also you can google cake balls and some women take it to a WHOLE nother level!
Good LUCK!
Sounds like you all had a fun weekend!
