The 2009-2010 school year comes to an end…
Katie has graduated kindergarten and will be moving on to first grade next school year! This is a huge blessing. She was behind the first half of the year and made tremendous progress second half. With continued tutoring from Miss Lenox (her kindy teacher) and at home she will do great next year! She also got perfect attendance all year!
Brianna has conquered the second grade! Not only did she get perfect attendance, she was on the all “A” honor roll for the year! I am incredibly proud of her hard work and dedication! She also got a pin for participating in the young author olympics, which she got 2nd place in.
Katie spent the last day of school with a pancake breakfast.
She received a graduation certificate and a mini photo album.
We finished the day with the 2nd-7th grade awards.
I almost missed Brianna getting her awards because Alex was exercising his right to be almost 2 (Sunday is his birthday) with a major tantrum. I spent most of the awards in the lobby, running in to take pictures when Brianna was on stage.

Mrs. Boltinghouse dishing up some fruit salad.
Miss Lenox surprised with OSU “Coach Tressel” (aka my friend Kelly’s Dad who looks just like Jim Tressel) and being awarded the Outstanding Teacher Buckeye Award. The manila envelope contains letters the kids wrote to “Coach Tressel” with why they think Miss Lenox should get the award. Katie’s read: Dear Coach, I like Miss Lenox because I love her. I like her teaching and stuff. From: Katie.

Katie’s class and Miss Lenox again. Love the message on the dry erase board!

Grace, Brianna, Alex and Paul. We were sitting a few rows back and Alex kept running up to see his sister.

All in all it was a good day.
Another school year down.
It’s bittersweet.

What a wonderful ceremony, and school year for your kids! And now, how fun for you to get to play with them all summer long.
Did I mention that they are all adorable? No? Well it is true. They are.
Looks like a fun filled day. Congrats to everyone on what sounds like a good school year.
My kids still have about a week and 1/2 of school left.
Nice post, thanks for sharing.
