I Ditched Etsy

I’m liberated!

For awhile I thought about doing my own thing and while it’s not perfect and I still have things to work on, I’m excited to be on my very own without Etsy.

I am now one step closer to my crochet goals! Eventually I would like to design, but right now my brain is a little bit fried from life to truly focus on it.

I will *fingers crossed that I get approved* be able to sell some new items soon, like these Newborn Pink and Brown Mary Jane Skimmers (a Hook Candy pattern):

Come visit me and if you are interested in something free to give away on your blog, let me know!

May Angel Star Crochet

Blah, blah, blah. Yadda, yadda, yadda.

Once again you would think I fell off the face of the planet. Maybe I did. No, I’m still here and kicking. Falling asleep super early these days and not having a whole ton of energy. I think the shorter days and the early darkness are having their way with me and I’m letting them win.I fell asleep watching TV around 9:30 the other night. Crazy I know.

And no, I am not pregnant ;)

My hands have been working like busy little bees and the following is what I have to show for it.

Forest Wool Longies (size small)

Harvest Wool Longies (size medium)

Yes, not only were they completed but also listed on Etsy. Aren’t I productive?! Click on the descriptions to be taken there! I also have a blue one in medium but I need to pick up some more yarn. It’s 80% done.

I feel like the last few weeks I have only posted in three categories. May Angel Star Crochet, Writing and Wordless Wednesday.

You know what, that is okay, because that’s what I’ve got going on here. It is, what it is.

As for the next installment of Set Free, I’ve been toying with the idea of posting the beginning of the story. Would you like that?

Oh and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 starts showing tonight at Midnight. I will be there! Jacked up on caffeine, no doubt, but there nonetheless.

May Angel Star Crochet Work In Progress

Not only did I finish the OSU Blanket and Hat, I actually listed them on Etsy here and here.

I’m happy to finally have this project done, listed and placed in a plastic bag on the top shelf of my closet for safe keeping.

Christmas time is coming really soon, what a wonderful gift to give your special little OSU fan!

I started this new project. I’m really enjoying the colors. Passion, Ocean and Pistachio. They are just fun!

I’m about half way through, that’s with stopping to read two 500+ books.

When I’m done with this I think I’m going to try to come up with some other pattern to do.

Maybe something Christmas inspired!

I’ve also been thinking a lot about doing a giveaway.

May Angel Star Crochet Work In Progress

It’s fall.

The days of fluctuating temps causing us to wear shorts and a tank top one day and jeans and a long sleeved shirt the next are upon us.

Baseball is in a race for the playoffs. (GO PHILLIES!)

Hockey is right around the corner. (GO FLYERS!)

But the biggest thing around Central Ohio right now is football and that spells one thing.

OHIO STATE BUCKEYES

I own one shirt, for when they won the championship. What year was that anyway? See I’m not a fan.

But the majority of the people in the Columbus area are crazed Buckeye fans, so I bit the bullet and started a blanket in good ole’ Scarlet and Grey.

The blanket is on the verge of being finished with only the following left to be done:

  • 1 more row of red to single crochet
  • Weaving in ends (my least favorite step in a project though thankfully they are half done)
  • 3 rows (single, double, single) of white for edging
  • Weaving in last ends
  • Sewing on tag
  • Taking pictures and listing on Etsy.

Oh and as far as football is concerned….
