We spent time with Paula and Michael on Tuesday. We had to spend the night at my parents due to ice that night. My Dad fell outside trying to show me just how slick it was. Alex was awake from 1-3am, fussy because of his cold. We hung out in Dwight’s room, he was playing Warcraft and watching Heroes. Brian left to get to the house and then to work. Paula and Michael left around 8am and it took them 1hr to get 3 miles because of the road conditions and accidents. Brian got off work early and picked us up. We went home, got ourselves together and then went to LCC for the Christmas Eve Service. We got there late because traffic outside Walmart was unbelievable, they had shut down the road, because Walmart was trying to close and people kept trying to get inside.  The band did Christmas songs. Then Hilary and Jeff Sloat read a story to the kids. After that Tom did a mini sermon which included picking Alex up and using him as a visual of baby Jesus and why he was sent to us.  It was really powerful.

Brianna tried to get up around 1am, I wasn’t surprised! Brian let her know not to wake us up again until after 6. She and Katie came in at exactly 6:05.  The girls were in awe of all the presents.  Brian read us  “The Newborn King”. Alex’s only interest in the story was trying to eat the book. Then we opened stockings and Santa presents. The last presents to be opened were the treasured American Girl dolls. Brianna was looking worried up until that point, she was sure she wasn’t getting one after Santa fell through. The look on her face is priceless! We took mostly video of them opening up those gifts. We hung out, cleaned up, ate breakfast and then made our way to my parents house. We opened up gifts there, hung out, had lots of food. That is about it. It was a pretty low key Christmas.

I still can’t believe it’s all over. All the planning, shopping, wrapping and it’s over.

I’m slightly depressed actually.

I am the best wife ever because I got my husband Wii for Christmas.

I got it on ebay Monday. Bid on one with wii play/remote, extra nunchuk and Mario Galaxy, Got it for $465. Not too bad considering retail plus tax would have been $400.. I paid $30 something in shipping and it arrived on Wednesday. The guy who I got it from, he had more auctions just like mine and I was the one who paid the least. Someone paid $530 before shipping!

I returned Brian’s PS2 w/ all it’s games to EB Games, because that had been our plan had we decided to get one. I got $66 for everything. I used my brother’s PS2 as a decoy. I returned Mario Galaxy to Walmart and repurchased it from EB Games with the money from the PS2 sale. We have $8 left over to spend there. My brother gave me cash for the extra nunchuk to give to Brian for Christmas.

I had nightmares of him finding out before Christmas. And all the running around had me ultra grumpy and tired. One of the reasons I didn’t even try to get one at the store, they always had people waiting in line. My one really good chance would have been when they had the huge release at every story, but it was snow and ice, and people had been waiting in line before 6am.. No way could I have handled it LOL..

Then Christmas came, it was the last present of the day. I had it over my parent’s house, as we were going there for Christmas day and I knew that he would want to open it to play right away and I would want to head over to my parent’s.

The look of surprise on his face was priceless and worth all that I went through to get it.

He played all afternoon. I fell asleep and he woke me up to catch a glimpse of my Mom playing the boxing game. It’s a lot of fun and I am really good at bowling and I love Mario Galaxy. I really want the Nights game. As I was a huge fan of Nights on Sega..

My Dad got the girls outfits when he was in China on business. So for his Christmas present I took the girls in to get their pictures done wearing them and got this cute little collage done. It turned out great and I got a free one for us! I absolutely love how they turned out

If I get one more, I think it might be twins comments, I think I will jump off a cliff! I could barely sleep last night because I kept having dreams of getting U/S and there being two babies.. Even Katie’s prediction is boy and girl.. LOL.. Guess we will see next week. I had my first appt. today and it was just blood work and paperwork. No biggie.. My U/S is next Thurs. I also had an accident with a power drill today.. I’ll post the picture. I went crazy putting up a decorative rod and the tie-backs to match. On the last tie-back I slipped with the drill, which had a philips head bit in it and sliced my finger.. I was in hysterics. Brian had trouble understanding me I was crying so badly over the phone. It still hurts really badly.. We went to friends tonight and the guys all took the kiddos trick or treating.. Then we finished the night by playing guitar hero.. I just used the controller so as not to aggravate my finger..
