The white dress (‘fro me to you)

I got a cute white dress to wear for graduation. It was a must because the girl’s cap and gowns were white. So here I am on graduation day in 1998! That is my Aunt Sandy, friend Sharon, my Mom, me and my Dad. I really loved the dress, but it was super short and not at all an appropriate length for graduation, that and I forgot to brush my hair and it was driving me crazy the whole day.

Now the second time I wore this dress was for Halloween. I was a slut angel, because the dress barely covered my bottom. I was invited to a date party at Theta Chi with Del. Brian and I were broken up at the time. When I came home that night I went to Brian’s room to see him and that night he told me he loved me for the first time!

Same dress for two very important days of my life!

I  suppose these pictures would make it into a scrapbook, eventually. I’m feeling rather sentimental today though and thought I would share!

Raccoon eyes (‘fro me to you)

So I decided to finally join in on this blog carnival. Click the button above to find out how to participate. I’ve been following We Are THAT Family for a little bit. It’s a great blog, you should definitely go check it out!

Now on to my past….

When I lived in Texas (3rd and 4th grade), we had a pool. Which in Texas is a must. I went swimming as much as I could. But hating to get water in my eyes was a real problem. The best solution to the problem was goggles. And here we have me in my goggle glory. The picture quality isn’t that great. It’s a picture of a picture, but you get the point. Don’t you just love the big round yellow rimmed goggles. And the giant blue balls (don’t spit) hanging from the ends of my braids. I’m gorgeous aren’t I! Everyone should have a swimsuit like this one!

Now wearing the goggles did the job they were designed to do. They protected my eyes from getting wet, but they also created a new problem. I get a really dark tan in the summer. But those goggles did not let the sun touch around my eyes. I had major raccoon eyes. I tried to find a picture of the after affect and thankfully there are none!

I still look in the mirror and see light circles around my eyes and blame those goggles! I’m quite self conscious about it actually.

Goggle wearers beware, there are consequences!
