May Angel Star Crochet Work In Progress
Not only did I finish the OSU Blanket and Hat, I actually listed them on Etsy here and here.
I’m happy to finally have this project done, listed and placed in a plastic bag on the top shelf of my closet for safe keeping.
Christmas time is coming really soon, what a wonderful gift to give your special little OSU fan!
I started this new project. I’m really enjoying the colors. Passion, Ocean and Pistachio. They are just fun!
I’m about half way through, that’s with stopping to read two 500+ books.
When I’m done with this I think I’m going to try to come up with some other pattern to do.
Maybe something Christmas inspired!
I’ve also been thinking a lot about doing a giveaway.
May Angel Star Crochet Work In Progress
It’s fall.
The days of fluctuating temps causing us to wear shorts and a tank top one day and jeans and a long sleeved shirt the next are upon us.
Baseball is in a race for the playoffs. (GO PHILLIES!)
Hockey is right around the corner. (GO FLYERS!)
But the biggest thing around Central Ohio right now is football and that spells one thing.
OHIO STATE BUCKEYES
I own one shirt, for when they won the championship. What year was that anyway? See I’m not a fan.
But the majority of the people in the Columbus area are crazed Buckeye fans, so I bit the bullet and started a blanket in good ole’ Scarlet and Grey.
The blanket is on the verge of being finished with only the following left to be done:
- 1 more row of red to single crochet
- Weaving in ends (my least favorite step in a project though thankfully they are half done)
- 3 rows (single, double, single) of white for edging
- Weaving in last ends
- Sewing on tag
- Taking pictures and listing on Etsy.
Oh and as far as football is concerned….
GO EAGLES!
The sound of crickets…
It’s been a tad bit longer than two months since I updated this blog.
I have had things to say, just haven’t taken the time to do it.
Lots of happenings around the *Q* Household.
Alex breaking his arm on Easter. Poor boy feel off a chair, at least that is the story his sisters told. I knew something serious was wrong when he didn’t want to put on his new baseball glove. He also wouldn’t hold a baseball in his right hand, would just tuck it into the crook of his elbow.
His cast looking tough, after my creative thinking. Making a stencil out of the Phillies “P” and coloring it in with a black Sharpie!
Thankfully he only had to wear it for a little over 4 weeks! He was a champ and it didn’t really affect him much at all. Though he did have to forgo wearing the new baseball glove for awhile. He had no problem throwing though!
Made a few crochet items.. A hat for Todd and Sarah’s baby (don’t have a picture).
A hat and blanket for Jason and Daphne’s baby:
And another similar blanket that I have for sale on Etsy.
In other news.. I turned 30!
Brian went all out and threw me a surprise party. Walking into the darkened house and having a ton of my friends yell surprise was very cool. I felt so loved! We had a cook-out and the kids played. My friends know me so well too. Got gift cards to Starbucks, AMC, Joanne’s and got a Twilight Saga: New Moon Wolf Pack shirt!
I’m going to be watching our neighbor’s son Cole during the summer. He is 5 and the kids love playing with him. He was practically part of the family already. It’s going to be a fun summer!
This is the girls last week of school! Yesterday we had the end of the year zoo trip. We hung out with Alannah (Brianna’s good friend) and her mom. Alannah is moving out of state next week so the girls are trying to spend a lot of time together. Cole was with us as well. The kids had a blast and we got to see the new Polar bear exhibit for the first time. Every year they get a stuffed animal from the gift shop. This year they all got polar bears.
There was a lot more going on.
Now I forget.
I should have just blogged, but such is life.
I hope to be more consistent now!
Six Word Saturday
2012 and naps on rainy day!
We love a good disaster movie and 2012 is pretty action packed. We watched it this morning and the encore performance is going on right now.
I sold my other blanket on Etsy! Wahoo! I’ve been spending all my free time crocheting. Trying to figure out the next blanket I want to do. Something fun for sure!
