I’m unorganized…

I think the majority of my stress and anxiety comes from the fact that I am so very disorganized.

I was most on top of things when I used my planner and got up and was dressed and ready to go before the kids.

Winter totally threw me off in both areas. Plus I’m more depressed and grumpy when it is winter..

I’m starting to feel better now that it is spring LOL..

So now I need to organize, schedule and declutter..

I think it will make a world of difference, especially with my stress and anxiety levels..

  1. I hear ya! I do so much better when I get up and going before the girls, but I haven’t really done that in a while either.

    That’s one thing I’m liking about moving – decluttering as I go. And I am determined to be very organized when I unpack and STAY that way!

    I think when this snow finally melts I’ll start feeling better..although we have more snow forecasted :

  2. I don’t get up before the girls but when we get up and have some sort of “plan” things roll along much better. Good luck with the organize, schedule and declutter!

  3. Oh my gosh, I TOTALLY could have just written your entry. I am so much more anxious, unorganized (although I tend to fairly unorganized all year though lol), inpatient, grumpy and emotional in the winter. Sometimes I wonder if I have SAD or something. It just started real bad a couple years ago. Once Spring comes, I’m a whole new person. I hope Spring comes quickly for you and you feel better soon!

  4. I am the exact same way as you!! Clutter and disorganization makes me feel like I can’t breathe. And you never really realize how bad it’s getting until you get totally stressed about it! And I hate the winter for that reason- I have no motivation to do anything; it’s gloomy and makes me depressed- all I want to do when I’m depressed is sleep! Yuck! πŸ˜‰

  5. Sometimes I think I have SAD too.. Because I almost always bounce (couldn’t help myself) back by spring!!!

    So here’s to us feeling better as the weather gets better!!!

  6. Yes, winter equals depressed sleepiness.. Wouldn’t it be awesome if we could just hibernate during winter!!!

  7. Yeah, when I wasn’t watching the boys, I got up when the girls got me up.. but I don’t have that luxury anymore 😦

    But that is how I found I did so well when I was up and at them LOL before they were!

  8. Why did you type my entry?! LOL Just kidding but I can SO understand what you are saying. I just have to tell you what I got that has helped me ton. It’s a downloadable organizer from http://www.motivatedmoms.com it has changed my housekeeping. You download it off of the net (it does cost $7.00) and then you print it yourself, punch wholes in it and put it in a binder. You can even get it with daily bible verses to read. It list chores to be done each day and then things to do each day of the week. It changes every week so you are on a rotation to get things done. Of course you can do things different days if you want to and I often do but it gives me a great guidline and my family who visits keep complimenting me on my house which is a miracle in itself. I promise you I am not affiliated with this site and selling these planners but it really has helped me that much that I can’t help but ramble about it.
    It will be such a huge difference when you can open the windows and smell that wonderful spring smell!! It was 60 here one day and I got so spoiled leaving the door open, it just seemed to make it 10x worse when it got cold again.

  9. I hate clutter as well.. I try to make sure to go through known clutter collector areas once a week (well in my own place not at my moms).. but as far as cleaning well to me it was a breeze because I had a small apartment and had very few things in it!lol I would do most of my cleaning during commercial breaks! I hope you get out of the funk and are able to de-clutter your home!

  11. I think you will really like it, it helps me to not feel overwhelmed because if I can accomplish the daily things then I feel like I’ve suceeded for the day. Although I admit I still don’t always get everything done but when it happens I usually have legitimate reason where before I just didn’t do it because I didn’t feel like it. LOL

  12. That is what I like about moving too! But then again, we have a lot of boxes in the garage from our apartment that we don’t even use the stuff inside. So why not throw it away, because I’m a pack rat and it’s stuff like homecoming corsages LOL!
