Stupid darkness……

I am afraid of the dark.. I’m not sure exactly when it started, but I think that I will forever have an issue with it…

Tonight was my first night cleaning where I had an issue..

So much so that I think I might need to switch buildings or not do Tuesdays at all…

*sigh*

  2. I wouldn’t say I was scared of the dark….but being alone in a building you are not that familiar with and being there at night would freak me out too! Hope you find a good resolution!

  3. That stuff kind of freaks me out too. Especially in large buildings.

I hope you can get it figured out soon so you won’t have to stop the job.

  4. I don’t know if you remember when I did the cleaning for Jackie’s school last year…. imagine three HUGE school buildings… and me alone EVERY night. I’m the same way… HATE the dark. So most times I took my phone and talked to people while I cleaned :-/

  5. *yay* I’m not the only one LOL.. My imagination tends to get carried away and then I start thinking I’m going to see things and I get majorly freaked out..

  6. The one office was just really creepy. The central light switch just turned on the hallway lighting, and every thing else was just dark. Then a lot of the rooms just have dimmed lighting, so even more creepy. And it was a dentist, but also a surgery place, so surgery rooms in the dark, way creepy.. I just had this picture in my head that Jason (because I had recently seen the beginning of Freddy vs. Jason) was going to come walking around the corner and going to kill me.. I was highly on edge.. My imagination and I don’t get along sometimes LOL…

That is a good idea Wendy.. I should just call up a friend and talk the whole time, though I do find it hard to multitask while I’m on the phone LOL.. I tend to start pacing, and then I would probably think, was that my voice I heard, or is someone here and going to kill me.. Darn my imagination!

  10. I wouldn’t say I’m afraid of the dark – but I am afraid in certain situations. My imagination runs away from me too. You should see how panicked I look walking from my house to my car in our DRIVEWAY at 5:30 each morning. I think my problem is general paranoia though *eek* I read news stories and since I’m a young (small) woman I am terrified of being abducted. I look behind myself A LOT while walking – I tell myself I’m just extremely aware of my surroundings, lol. But I’m also like one of the stupid chicks in a scary movie – I investigate if I hear something, LOL.

Oh and Robert loves for the house to be very open. Curtains open, blinds up, etc. I tell him this is fine during the day but close them if we aren’t going to be home until late. I get in a full out frenzy if they are open and its dark outside. We have a VERY small window above our kitchen sink and it opens over the backyard. I haven’t found a curtain to cover it. I avoid it as soon as it gets dark. There is something creepy about standing in front of/walking past a window where someone can see in but you can’t see out *shivers*

  11. Yeah, I think I have that general paranoia too, and it’s funny that you say that about the scary movie chics, because I think I’m like that too.. It gets to the point where if I keep hearing a noise, I have to check it out or my heart will explode from all the things I am imagining and I just NEED to know what it is!

I don’t like the window blinds being open at night either.. creepy is definitely the word for that!
