Brianna had her last soccer game of the fall season. It was really chilly out, it wouldn’t have been too bad, but the wind was really picking up. We sat out and watched for 3 quarters, but Alex didn’t want to be bundled and his hands were getting super cold so we went to the van for the last quarter. They scored 3 goals and Brianna got all 3!
Then we went to Mary and Doug’s. I met Mary when I was an intern at Ashland after my freshman year of college. She is 10 years older than me, but we hit it off and I hung out with her all the time. Anyway, somehow we got out of touch, the last time we saw them was over a year ago and they only live 45min away. The Lord had been putting it on my heart to get back in touch for awhile now, but I kept making excuses. I finally called her about a month ago. She called me this past week and invited us over for the Buckeye game. It was like we had never been apart all that time! I’m so glad that our friendship has been rekindled! They have 2 kiddos, David and Anna. The kids got along great! Their neighbors came over, they have a 3mth old and an 8 year old. It was just a really nice time. Doug made lasagna, we had salad and bread. I brought a chocolate cake. It was all very yummy!
It was just a great Saturday!
